waverly 6 - elevator

Waverly Hills Sanatorium is my city (Louisville, KY) 's haunted house. it was used for TB for many years back in the 1800s [edit: the original "Waverly Hills" opened in 1910 and this building opened in 1926.] and stuff, and it's believed that in Louisville, at least 63,000 people died of TB alone for the time it was open. it was also a geriatric facility for a few years but was closed due to patient abuse or something like it. rumors of ghosts (little girls with red balls, shadow people, orbs, all that stuff) and other interesting things in Waverly Hills run abound. I got to go on a tour and these are the better pictures I took. all in all, my total came up to about 103 pictures, and I took at least one picture of every room I went in, so let me know if you want to see more.

I loved the elevators. I got pictures of two of them, and it was a draw to choose which one I liked better. the other one was from a straight-on angle, and you could see the word "ELEVATOR" stencilled on it, which was awesome, but this one was more colorful, and it has that cool little switchy thing. I didn't actually get to go in any elevators or look around, but I loved the outside. one of my favorite parts, definitely.
